When I wrote 'Goldmine', I had just finished watching a documentary on sugar babies. You know those times when you're mindlessly browsing on YouTube and before you know it, you're deep in a rabbit hole? Yeah, that was one of those moments for me.
Anyhow, I was really intrigued by the trade of selling yourself for materialistic means. Now, I've never been one to judge anyone's life decision. But I wrote this song as my personal anthem because I think there are so many other people like me, who need it. Being in the music business, it's easy to get caught up in all the fame and money. Unfortunately, these two things also bring insecurity along with it, which is a big ugly monster I'm all too familiar with. 'Goldmine' serves as my personal reminder. That no matter what, two other things that truly have value is: Love and Honesty. And music should always have a lot of heart and be nothing but true to yourself. Right? Otherwise, we're just kidding ourselves.
Long story short, my single 'Goldmine' will be released on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and all that fun stuff on the 26th of April (Friday). And I hope you'll like it. 🌟
